Mr. Russell "Rusty" Lewis Gass, 75 of Metairie, LA passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 . He was born Monday, August 11, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 2:00 PM until funeral service at 3:00 PM at Capps Funeral Home in 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Tylertown, Mississippi. Reverend Justin Knight will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-876-3373

Mr. Rusty was a proud United States Marie Corp veteran. He served his country for six years. Mr. Gass was a Pa st Master Mason of Louisiana Lodge 102. Rusty enjoyed motorcycles, sports cars, camping, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid tennis player and Saints Football fan.

He was preceded in death by his father Russell Charles Gass, Jr.; mother Fern Landis Begue (Ray Sr.); and sister Jan Blais.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Scott G ass ; daughter Michal Gass Mathers (Jason); step-brother Chip Begue (Robin); step-sister Bonnie Humphreys ; along wi th a host of nieces, nephews, great nie ces, great nephews, friends, and loving famil y.

Pallbearers will be Jason Mathers, Joseph Bowman, Donald Ray Case, J.J. Downs, Garvin O'Quinn, and Timothy O'Quinn.
