Memorial services for Samuel Louis Johnson, 80, of Tylertown, MS will be held at New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church at a later date with Elder Mickey Myers officiating.

Mr. Johnson passed away at Walthall General Hospital in Tylertown, MS on Monday, October 5, 2020. He was born August 8, 1940 in Tylertown, MS to the late Lovie and Earnie Johnson. He is also preceded in death by his son Benjamin Johnson; brothers Hilton Johnson, Evone Johnson, and Olan Johnson; sisters Doris Pierce and Alaine Smith.

Mr. Louis; as he was known by most everyone, was an avid outdoorsman who loved squirrel hunting, fishing, and going camping with his grandkids. Mr. Johnson was also a long time member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Joyce Johnson, his children Warren (Rebecca) Johnson and Holly (Shane) McKenzie; grandchildren Mark McKenzie and Mason McKenzie; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
