Samuel Todd Wood, 60 of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Friday, February 10, 2023. He was born Friday, March 2, 1962 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Elton Earl Wood and Elowese Thomas Wood. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his daughter Samantha Michelle Wood; brothers Bobby Mitchell Wood, and Billy Joe  Wood;  sisters Elaine Wood, and Donnis Faye Branch.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 from noon until service time at 3:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wood Cemetery. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Samuel was a very intelligent man who enjoyed studying history, astronomy, keeping up with the current events, and spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his daughter Courtney Danielle Wood; mother of his children Tamatha "Tammy Warren" Wood; brothers Rodney E Wood and Dwayne Wood (Gina); sisters Delores Dillon and Janice Gerald; granddaughter La'Rae Faith Wood - Brumfield; special nieces JoAnn Vince, Sheyenne Seal; special great nephew Skylar Jenkins; along with a host of friends and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Wood, Cole Forbes, Landon Gerald, Dylan Miley, Amir Najdi, Skylar Jenkins, and Mason Vince.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Dillon, Lavell Gerald, Jeremy Forbes, Timothy L Thomas, Gaylon Thomas, Ali Najdi, Brian Wood, Jason Branch, Todd Dillon and Elwin Dillon.
