Steven Paul Rushing

Funeral services for Steven Paul Rushing, 57, of Tylertown, MS will be held at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Brother Dan Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Tylertown Cemetery II.

Mr. Rushing passed away at his residence in Tylertown, Mississippi on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. He was born November 14, 1961 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Audine and Paul Rushing. He is also preceded in death by his son John Rushing.

Steve was a friend to everyone he crossed paths with and loved you from that moment.  He showed you his love with the best bearhugs. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Mississippi River, and days spend with his dog Buster. This hard-working man will be missed by many.

Survivors include his children Mike Rushing, Melissa (Wes) Fortenberry, and Trevor (Jessica) Barber; long time companion Kim Barber; mother of his children Melody Rushing; sister Linda Rushing May; grandchildren Kailyn Rushing, Hailey Rushing, Janna Rushing, Autumn Rushing, Caleb "Bubba" Rushing, and Alleigh-Ann Lightell.

Pallbearers are Jacob Cantrell, Keith Holmes, Ryan Broussard, Gaines Stegall, Justin Ratliff, Marty Martin, Dalton Duncan, Brody Burnthorn.

Honorary pallbearers are Lamar Roberts, Tony Martin, Chris Ratliff, Mark Brock, Gary Duncan, Rusty Roberts, James Tate, and Eddie Rushing.

Visitation will be at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
