Sybil Kaye O’Quin

Sybil Kaye O’Quin, 88, of Tylertown, MS passed away on October 15, 2026. She was born on July 24, 1938, in Tylertown, MS to the late Pat O’Brien and Lela Mae Byrd Bailey. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Bertram O’Quin; daughter, Kimberly Ann Snowden; and grandmother, Maggie Byrd.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Pamla Reeves (Trey), David L. Snowden (Kathy), and William G. Snowden; grandchildren, Caleb Reeves (Ashley), Danielle Reeves (David), Willow Ann Snowden, and Ayla Kaye Snowden; great grandchildren, James Caleb Reeves and Liam Reeves; along with a host of loving family and friends.

Mrs. Kaye was a longtime member of Tylertown Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir and attending Sunday school. She also enjoyed reading, making crafts, designing floral arrangements, collecting dishes, and cats. Mrs. Kayes favorite color was purple and in honor of that the family has request everyone wear purple at her memorial service.

Visitation will be held at Tylertown Baptist Church, 409 Tyler Ave. Tylertown, MS 39667, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM until memorial service at 11:00 AM with Brother Justin Knight officiating. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
