Terry Mead Brumfield, 89, of Tylertown, MS passed away July 1, 2026, at his residence. He was born November 08, 1936, at the hospital in Tylertown, MS to the late Flecher Mead Brunfield and Diane Payne Brumfield. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother John Brumfield, and sister Janet Gay Brumfield.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Patricia Joy Taylor Brumfield; son Richard Kent Brumfield (Carol); grandchildren, Amelia L. Brumfield and Thomas Kent Brumfield (Alejandra); siblings, Gwen Ginn, Meadette Brumfield, and Carol Breland; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Mr. Terry received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida and put it to good use as a payroll timekeeper clerk for CSX Railroad Systems for many years. He enjoyed playing tennis and restoring his father’s 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 09, 2026, at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave. Tylertown, MS 39667 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Brumfield Family Cemetery at 10:00 AM. Brother Wayne Hall will officiate. Hartman Hughes Capps funeral Home is in charge or arrangements.
