Terry Eugene Carney

December 5, 1963 – October 14, 2024

Terry Eugene Carney, 60 of Jayess, MS passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at his residence in Jayess, MS. He was born Thursday, December 5, 1963 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Jerry Carney and Lina Sue Searcy. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his grandchild Kaylee Davis and grandmother Mattie Lee Carney.

A graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Davis-Carney Family Cemetery at 204 Dan Homes Road, Jayess, MS.

Mr. Terry was a longtime truck driver who was known by his friends as Cuz or Tyrone. He enjoyed music, singing, and doing a little jig with his grandchildren; in his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Tracey Dixon Carney;  son, Cory Carney (Chelsie);  daughters, Katrina Davis (Thomas) and Santana Carney;  grandchildren, Trey Davis,           Devin Davis (Alivia Rushing), Ian Easley (Kaytlynn Ginn), Dustin Davis, Kadance Davis, Bentley Carney, Maci Carney, and Jade Carney;  great grandchild, Madlynn Easley; and sister, Emily Carney.
