Terry Allen McCain, 57 of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Thursday, December 26, 1968 in Tylertown, MS to the late J. Q. McCain and Carolyn Ann Adams McCain.

Visitation will be held at Carson Springs Baptist Church on January 08, 2026 from 12 noon until funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Carson Springs Cemetery. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

For three decades, Mr. McCain was affiliated with Walmart, and for the last seven years, he owned and operated McCain Meat Processing, commonly referred to as the Meathouse. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, cooking, and attending auctions. Yet, his greatest fulfillment stemmed from his family and the moments shared with his granddaughters. He and his brothers had an amazing bond, where you saw one you would see the others. The memories they share of Terry with be cherished always.

Survivors include his wife, Sherri Thornton McCain; daughters, Bailey Keaster (Adam) and Bethany McCain; granddaughters, Ellie Keaster, Palmer Keaster, and Scottie Jane Keaster; brothers, Michael McCain (Melissa) and Mark McCain (Stephanie); along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
