Terry Lynn
Mitchell
Mar 25, 1962 — Sep 30, 2026
Terry Lynn Mitchell, Sr., age 64, passed from this life and into the arms of Jesus, leaving behind a lifetime of love, hard work, laughter, memories, and a family who will carry his love in their hearts forever.
Terry was a hardworking man who spent almost 30 years working for Evergreen Industries Inc. He believed in working hard, providing for the people he loved, and doing what needed to be done. He gave so much of himself throughout his life, never expecting anything in return. If you knew Terry, you knew that his love was fierce, his heart was generous, and there was truly no one quite like him.
Terry was blessed to share his life with his beloved wife, Sonya. Together, they built a life and a family filled with love, memories, and countless moments that will never be forgotten.
He leaves behind his three children: Terry Lynn Mitchell, Jr. and wife Hollie Mitchell, Samantha Dyane May and husband Jerry May, and Sierra Cheynne Mitchell. His greatest joy continued through his grandchildren: Joshua, Leo, Tiffany, Timothy, Julia, and Hylan. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Khylo, Remington, and Azalea Rose Mitchell, who is on the way.
He is also survived by his beloved sister, Tammy Rials and husband Vince Rials, along with Sierra's mother, Karla,
his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, many nephews & nieces, extended family, and the many people whose lives he touched throughout his years.
He is proceeded in death by his Parents Louis & Geneva Mitchell, his brothers Tommy Mitchell & Toney Mitchell, and sister, Tracy Mitchell.
Terry was a man who loved deeply and gave freely. He didn't need recognition for what he did. He simply loved his family and did what he could to take care of them. His presence was one of a kind, and the emptiness left behind by his passing can never truly be filled.
Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Terry is no longer hurting. We can imagine that there was quite the reunion waiting for him in Heaven—a joyful homecoming as he was reunited with the family and loved ones who had gone before him. We picture him surrounded by those familiar faces, finally together again, while watching over the family he loved so fiercely here on Earth.
His greatest legacy is not found in the years he worked or the things he owned, but in the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the family he leaves behind.
Daddy, we wish we had more time. There will forever be things we wish we could tell you, moments we wish we could share, and memories we wish we could make, but we will hold tightly to every memory, every laugh, every lesson, and every moment we were blessed to have with you.
You were one of a kind. You were our Daddy. You were our Poppy, and you will always be loved.
Until we meet again one sweet day,
We love you, Daddy & Poppy ❤️
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever a part of us.
