Thomas Eugene Herrin, 67 of Jayess, MS passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at his residence in Jayess, MS. He was born Friday, January 14, 1955 in Tylertown, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 1:30 PM until service time at 2:30 PM at Salem Baptist Church in Tylertown, MS. Burial will follow in Spence Cemetery in Tylertown, MS. Reverend Mark Wicker and Reverend Mike Anderson will officiate. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Herrin was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with horses, hunting, fishing, watching westerns , and was an avid gun collector. Spending time with "his girls" and grandchildren was truly his greatest blessing.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas J Herrin III; mother Hazel Faye Dunaway Corn; sister Sue Rials; step-father Edward Corn; grandfather Hezzie Dunaway; and grandmother Thelma M Rushing Dunaway.

Survivors include his daughters Carrie N Herrin Allen, Ashley M Herrin Brister (Joshua), and Stephanie A Herrin; sister Diann Alexander (Richard); grandsons Devin A Allen (Kylie), Damien C Allen, Jacob T Brister, Kameron K Herrin, Grayson T Williams, and Leelan B Herrin; granddaughter Jaycie M Brister; great grandchildren Alijah, Nina and Jadis; mother of his children Deloras Young and Dianne Easley; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Devin Allen, Jacob Brister, Josh Brister, Kameron Herrin, Chance Alexander, and Farris Ross.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Rushing, Damien Allen, Grayson Williams, and Leelan Herrin.
