Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Burch Wells, 95, will be held at 2 P. M. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from the chapel of Capps Funeral Home with Elder Theresa King officiating. Burial will be in the Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Mrs. Wells passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. She was born in Pike County, Mississippi to the late Wilton John and Florence Jane Smith. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Leo C. Wells; brothers Earnest Burch, Victor Burch, and Herman Burch; and sisters Lallage B. Morris, and Pearline Slade.

She was a member of Tylertown Baptist Church and was retired from Louisiana Insurance Rating.


Survivors include her daughter Delma Kinchen; nieces and nephews Louise McCaskell, Barbara Carter, Victor "Andy" Burch, Martin Burch, Brenda Burch, Bennie King, Becky Magee, and Janice Goff; numerous great nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 12 Noon until service time there at 2 P.M.
