Wendy Marie Diamond Satterfield, age 71, after battling a lengthy illness, passed away on Monday, April 28 at St. Dominics in Jackson, MS surrounded by family. Wendy was born on July 21, 1953 in Steubenville, OH to the late James E. Diamond, Sr. and Peggy (Standsbury) Diamond.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 PM at Capps Funeral Home, 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, MS from 10:00 AM until service time at 12:00 noon with Bro. Marcus Whittman officiating. Interment will follow in Satterfield Family Cemetery. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Wendy was a loving wife of 52 years, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was a homemaker and caregiver for all her married years, while also for several years working as a nurse. She loved doing so many loving things especially knitting keepsakes for her children and grandchildren. She loved cooking and baking, and never left a belly empty. Famous for her potato salad and homemade bread among many other savored dishes. Holidays were never complete without her famous fudge and cookies she loved to hand out. Something I'm sure we will all miss tremendously. She also loved her flowers and gardening, and had an amazing green thumb. She favored queen Elizabeth roses. We will miss her many thoughtful ways she loved us including the yearly birthday and Christmas cards.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Terry Lee Satterfield; father, James Edward Diamond, Sr.; mother, Peggy Joyce Stansbury Diamond; brother, James Edward Diamond, Jr.; sisters, Deborah Lynn Diamond and Terri Jo Diamond Chapman.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Ryan Satterfield (Jessica) and Jeremiah Ray Satterfield; daughter, Heather Lee Satterfield; grandchildren, Lance Michael Satterfield, Kenneth Ryan Satterfield and Whitney Hope Satterfield Ming (John Christian); brother, David Paul Diamond; sisters, Linda Ann Diamond and Kim Loraine Diamond Flores; great grandchildren, Raven Katrina Satterfield, John Waylon Ming,and 1 on the way ; special aunt Judith Diamond Ash; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
