Funeral services for Mr. William "Billy" McNeese, 76, formerly of Tylertown, will be held at 2 P. M. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Capps Funeral Home with Reverend Drew Galloway officiating.  Burial will be in Gay Cemetery in Thomas.

Mr. McNeese passed away at his residence in Bogalusa, Louisiana on Thursday, May 31, 2018.  He was born May 4, 1942 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Chess Ameal and Gladys Rogers McNeese.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Delores McNeese Bass and brother Michael McNeese, Sr.

He worked as a dairy farmer for over 40 years.  He loved to watch football and baseball and was an avid LSU fan.  He also enjoyed taking pictures and listening to country, and gospel music.

Survivors include his sisters Nell Penton Rutland (Jim), Veda Lewis, and Shirley Jones all of Bogalusa; and brothers John Bruce McNeese of Thomas, Chess McNeese, Jr. (Debbie) of Bogalusa, and Lavell McNeese (Nina) of Bossier City; and numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.  He will be greatly missed by many.

Pallbearers will be Justin Smith, D. J. Meaux, Darrell Meaux, Lydell Slocum, Dustin Slocum, and Corey Barber.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Carter and Tommy Delancey.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and continue on Thursday until service time there at 2:00 P.M.
