William Peter Stanford

William Peter Stanford, Sr., 59 of Tylertown, Mississippi passed away Friday, July 21, 2023. He was born Saturday, March 14, 1964 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Johnson Chapel United Methodist in 2093 Chapel Dr., Summit, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Johnson Chapel United Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Scoggins will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. William enjoyed being outdoors whether that was hunting, fishing, camping, or just riding the backroads and going to visit with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lana Joyce Woolheater Scroggs; father Jim Scroggs; sisters Judy Ann Stanford Murray, Kathy Hull Stanford; step-father James Jim Scroggs.

Survivors include his son William Peter Stanford, Jr.; grandchildren William Aidan Stanford, Rowdy Payne Redditt and Wilder Reign Redditt; brothers Edwin Harold Stanford, Jr. (Wanda), David Michael Stanford (Annette) and Tony Scroggs (Rhonda); sisters Constance Connie Rawlins (Larned), Elizabeth Beth Karrol, Barbara Gay (David) and Linda Stanley (Jeff); along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be William Stanford Jr., Aidan Stanford, Tony Scroggs, Edwin Stanford, Eddie Stanford, and Jonathan McKenzie.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Stanford.
