Willie Nell Whittington

Funeral services for Willie Nell Whittington, 84, of Tylertown, Mississippi will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Capps Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Lambert officiating. Interment will be at Rushing Cemetery.

Mrs. Whittington passed on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was born January 4, 1937 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Thad and Mattie Rushing. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Carse Whittington; son Jeffrey Dewayne Loflin; and granddaughter Jean Elizabeth Smith.

She enjoyed raising her cats, growing flowers, and making sure she had a hat for every outfit that she owned. She was also an avid St. Jude Hospital supporter.

Survivors include her children Robert Keith (Sissy) Loflin, Rhonda Lynn McKenzie, and Rebecca Elizabeth Craft; grandchildren Dustin McKenzie, Robert (Jessica) Ard,  Joseph Loflin, Brandy Ard,  Jennifer Cripps, and Amber Loflin Moreno; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother  Harlon (Janell) Rushing;  along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers are Robert Ard, Tyler Ard, Joseph Loflin, Isaac Loflin, Dustin McKenzie, and Michael Rushing.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
